Fernandes denies interest in Indian LCC

first_imgSource = e-Travel Blackboard: N.J AirAsia’s boss has dismissed reports that the Malaysian carrier was looking to purchase an Indian budget carrier.  The carrier’s chief executive Tony Fernandes said speculations were “completely incorrect”. “AirAsia has not submitted a bid for the Indian budget carrier, and has no intention of doing so,” he explained.Meanwhile, UAE carrier, Etihad Airways is said to be close to buying nearly 24 percent in Indian carrier, Jet Airways, Arabian Business reported.
